WINA (World Instant Noodles Association) provides instant noodles as in aid to the poor and the victims of natural disasters that occur all over the world. Here are some examples.

WINA donated 550,000 packages of instant noodles as emergency ration to quake-hit Qinghai. 8 WINA member companies based in China supplied their relief products via the National Red Cross and the Qinghai Civil Administration Bureau. Tingyi Holding Corp., Baixiang Group and Jinmailang Foods carried truckloads of instant noodles to the affected area from their nearby production plants.

IRMA (the forerunner of WINA) donated more than 100,000 instant noodles for the victims suffered from a typhoon, which struck southern part of Luzon, Philippines, on December 1, 2006. Universal Robina Corporation, a member of WINA in the Philippines, arranged the shipment to three different sites: Rotary Club in Legaspi on Dec. 9, Provincial Governor Office in Camarines Sur on Dec. 13, and Philippine Disaster coordinating Center in Sorsogon on Dec.15. The donated products were Payless (Universal Robina), Pancit Canton and Yakisoba (Nissin Universal Robina).
