-Aiming for an Instant Noodle Industry
That Contributes to Prosperous Society-
WINA has designated August 25, the day the world’s first instant noodle was created, as WINA DAY in order to encourage social contribution activities by WINA member companies as an industry.
Since its first appearance in the world in 1958, instant noodles have been continuously loved by many and become a global food with more than 120 billion servings consumed annually worldwide. As the world continues to change, the instant noodle industry is expected to play a major role in society by providing safety and security to people and addressing global issues.
WINA will lead initiatives to address various social issues facing the world based on three themes: “Resilience” such as disaster prevention education and reconstruction support, “Comfort in dining experiences” such as food sharing and children’s cafeterias so that everyone can eat with comfortability, and “Sustainability in the supply chains and communities” such as environmentally friendly sustainable business operations and support for small-scale farmers.

"WINA DAY" is an initiative designed to promote social contribution activities within companies belonging to the instant noodle industry.
Instant noodles, which have become a global food, were first developed in 1958 following the post-war food shortage era. Through instant noodles, WINA has been advocating for food safety and security, and disaster relief. Over time, the challenges we face have become more diverse and complex. We believe that addressing these issues through our business activities whilst creating a positive global change will enhance the value of each company and contribute to the further growth of the instant noodle industry.
As the first "WINA DAY," this year, we will highlight the social contribution activities carried out by the Governors of WINA over the past year. Sharing best practices with our member companies, we aim to enhance the instant noodle industry's role in contributing to a prosperous society through the improvement of food safety, and the expansion and acceleration of initiatives to address social issues. The WINA DAY logo is based on a design that visualizes various connections with society,
using instant noodles as the motif. The noodles rising from the bowl form a heart shape,
and the people in the center symbolize collaboration and solidarity.
The design expresses the diverse initiatives promoted by WINA DAY in an integrated way.
